With Valentines Day just round the corner, it suddenly occurred to me that my underwear drawer was looking pretty shabby. Since Daisy’s birth I’ve become the proud owner of four practical, but very ugly, M&S nursing bras and some super comfy pants to go with them. My poor husband.
Revamp your underwear
Well this was case until Eloise, owner of independent lingerie boutique The Pantry Underwear, invited me to come and take a look. The store opened in September last year, and is located just off Camden Passage in my beloved Angel (old stomping ground, pre marriage, kids and wrinkles.) There is also an online shop too, please click here to visit. She’s curated an affordable range of underwear and sleepwear that manages to be stylish as well as practical. Bras start at just £20 and include names such as Lepel, Lingadore, Panache, Sloggi, Wonderbra and Yawn. Her love of underwear is infectious, and before long she had me stripped down to my knickers and trying on styles I’d never have dreamed of wearing. (I promise to reveal my new favourite piece of underwear in a Valentine’s special blog post, but if you want a sneak peak click here.)
Great Maternity / Nursing Range
Eloise stocks a carefully curated range of maternity and nursing bras, which include essentials such as a leggings and tights, which can be so hard to get your hands on. She’s thought of everything, comfort practicality and style. So say goodbye to frumpy mummy syndrome! I purchased a new Panache nursing bra, in a size I never imagined I’d be. Thankfully Eloise is on hand to offer an experienced fitting service. The bra is under wired, which gives that bit of essential lift.
Eloise also runs evening pamper parties, where you can try pieces on with friends and a glass or two of fizz. If you’re local do check out her Instagram page for details of her latest events. Alternatively if you fancy getting a group of friends together, she’ll happily accommodate a time to suit you and do your very own pamper evening.
