SALES & OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE ( SAFFRON WALDEN )

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic SALES & OPS ASSOCIATE to join our nimble and passionate team based in our dual concept underwear and bridalwear store in Saffron Walden, Cambridgeshire. You will work closely with the Managing Director, General Manager and Senior Sales Associate to drive the continued growth of an ambitious brand, supporting our incredible community of ‘Pant Pals’ through both online and bricks & mortar and online outlets.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Customer service - offer product advice and expert fitting and styling to customers of The Pantry Underwear and The Pantry Bridalwear. Bra fitting expertise to be learned in specialist sectors including bridal, maternity, and post-surgery and to the ‘house’ style. Bridal styling to be learned through our unique and exciting made-to-measure collection. 

Virtual bra fitting - once accomplished in The Pantry’s approach to in-person fitting, training will be provided to master the virtual fitting process which the brand has received national press coverage for.

Sales process development – attend sales meetings and plan service improvements with colleagues including those in the marketing and operations teams. 

Partnerships – assist in maintaining strong relations with referral partners e.g. bridal boutiques.

Events – represent the brand / company at in-person events both on site and from time-to-time off site, as well as online events.

Operational support – answering phone calls, email queries and assisting with fulfilment of online orders / stock allocation where required.

Visual merchandising – ensure that products are always displayed to their best advantage and that the displays are re-stocked regularly, as well as aesthetically maintained e.g. pricing, sizing, angles.

Product range development – provide customer feedback to management and support the stocked brand relationships.

Inventory management – administration of EPOS and website back office as appropriate. Maintain good awareness of stock outages and size availability across styles, as well as movement of stock between sites.

Site maintenance - ensure that the workplace is kept clean and tidy, with regular responsibilities via the cleaning rota.

We're looking for someone who:

 is Positive, well-mannered, and motivated to help people and transform the often negative associations of the bra wearing community with finding a bra.

has the Ability to organise and prioritise their workflow, ensuring the customer is at the forefront but that operational standards are maintained.

thrives in a Detail Orientated and customer centric environment with the ability to complete tasks / projects, often multiple at any one time.

is Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Shopify, EPOS systems and Adobe Creative Suite also helpful ( but not essential ).

We’re looking for candidates able to join us as soon as possible.

The hours are 14-18 per week, working 9.30-4.30 every Friday and Saturday. Ideally another half day earlier in the week additionally. Salary offered is £24,000 if working full-time and therefore calculated on a pro rata basis.

Hours are 24-38 per week ( depending on part or full-time ) but can be flexible and this will include weekend days. Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from £21,500 - £23,500.

SALES & OPERATIONS MANAGER ( ISLINGTON, TEMPORARY / PT OR FT )

At an exciting point for this progressive multi-channel retail business, female-founded brand and engaged community, the Sales & Operations Manager ( SOM ) will be ultimately responsible for end-to-end sales, incl. all related processes, at the physical locations where the company operates as well as globally online and via the proposed network of stockists.

Reporting to the Managing Director & General Manager, the SOM will be an advocate for The Pantry Underwear and The Pantry Bridalwear offerings. With a role that spans the Islington flagship, Cambridgeshire based dual store concept, and growing online store, the SOM will oversee the delivery of the brand proposition to the London female community (and beyond).

Your responsibilities will be to:

Team management - management of Sales and Operations teams (presently x5 permanent staff members & 2x casual staff members) with a structured approach via the appraisals programme, workflow planners and rota, as well as a dotted line to all roles outside of these teams.

Retail direction - shop floors leadership as a qualified bra fitter and champion of the coveted customer experience (over x350 5\* reviews via Google November ’22) - support offered through sales team including a Senior Sales Associate / Trainer in supervisory capacity.

Customer engagement - overseeing all customer engagement, including appointments (both B2C and B2B), customer & brand events, in-store partnerships / sales mechanics and working to improve outcomes and efficiencies wherever possible.

Retail operations- responsibility for day-to-day retail operations incl. overseeing supplies, maintenance of the working environment and related team workflows.

Stock flow - inventory management for the company spanning retail stock, balancing levels to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised and ensuring continuity buying meets demand, online stock levels and own brand production and samples availability.

Merchandising- in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing teams, visual merchandising of physical spaces and the online storefront, as well as input into marketing campaign planning and content capture.

Range development- contributing to product collections incl. buying input and brand relationship administration.

Partnerships - referrals e.g. bridal, maternity, womenswear brands alongside the Senior Sales Associate / Trainer – new business development ( incl. wholesale ) objectives as brand representative to external partners.

Budgeting & finance - forward planning including budgeting of retail sales & finance / purchasing operations moving forwards e.g. implementation of improved software, opening of additional stores and launches of new product collections in collaboration with Managing Director.

We're looking for someone who:

is Organised > the role ranges from stock management to staff workload allocation to visual merchandising, events planning and project management.

is a Self-starter > many projects will require leadership by the successful candidate, but there is always ample support and collaboration amongst the team.

has Senior sales experience > the customer is key and we are always looking to evolve the offering to the community; the GM is expected to contribute creatively to this.

thrives as part of a Team > The Pantry Underwear has been recently named Multi-Channel Independent of The Year by Drapers Magazine and last year was shortlisted for x6 industry awards. Accolades that would not be possible without a solid and motivated team and it is essential to instil our passion into new members.

has the skills required to Lead (by example) > the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership in processes and delivering against targets / objectives.

Experience with Microsoft Excel is essential, and knowledge of Shopify, EPOS systems and Adobe Creative Suite will also be helpful (but not essential).

We’re looking for a candidate able to join us as soon as possible.

The hours are ( ideally ) 24-30 hours per week and this will include some weekend days. We will consider full-time applications. This is a temporary position with the possibility of moving to a permanent role. The starting contract will be 3 months. 

Salary is dependent on experience.
